Bukit Batok- Myjia FFC continued their incredible streak with a 4-2 win against Orange on Saturday afternoon. Myjia were missing key midfielders Jackson and Kenneth for the match but were able to recall Wilson, Gordon and Zhaoyang. The trio, together with the rest of the team, played their hearts out to thwart an increasingly aggressive opponent to record a fourth successive win.

Veteran attacker Eugene had given Myjia an early lead to calm the nerves with a sublime piece of skill to break the Orange defence. The goal was Eugene's fifth goal in eight games. Orange had hardly recovered from the early setback before they were stunned by a second goal courtesy of Junhao. The striker made a typical run into the box before lashing a screamer past the stranded keeper. 2-0 to Myjia.

Myjia slowed the tempo down with a two goal lead and stroked the ball around confidently as youngsters Wilson, Wilkin and Ebenzer began to display more composure on the ball. The game was nearing the halftime whistle when Wai Meng won a tackle in the midfield, raced towards goal and shimmied past a defender and placed a shot to the bottom right corner. The shot was blocked by the keeper before he slotted in the rebound. Myjia finished the half strongly with a commanding 3 goals lead.

The second half began with a series of substitutions that saw an inexperienced Myjia defence take to the field. The inexperience was soon cruelly exposed by the speedy Orange number 8 who had several chances stopped by last ditch defending and superb saves by Myjia keeper Raymond. Raymond in particular, had another outstanding game with a series of saves from one on one situations before his resistance was broken with strike from outside the box by an Orange midfielder. The ball struck an unfortunate Wilkin before looping over Raymond. Orange had pulled a goal back.

The scoreline soon read 3-2 when the Orange number 8 finally got on the scoresheet with a clinical finish. Myjia's defence was depleting fast until the timely introduction of Sunny by manager Vincent nullified the threat of the number 8. Nearing three quarters of the game, Junhao capped a fine performance with an opportunistic lob to restore a two goal cushion for Myjia. By this time, Myjia were satisfied to see out the match until a scuffle between Wilson and an opponent almost saw hell break loose. Both players were lucky to escape with a warning and the match ended soon after with the scoreline reading 4-2 in Myjia's favour.
