"Let's beat the Arrows," rallies Wai Meng

Jurong West - The Myjia camp has received confirmation that they will be meeting the famed Arrows FC on 21st October at First Toa Payoh.

This follows news that the match scheduled at St. Wilfrid Stadium has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

First Toa Payoh was the venue where the sorry Myjia team crashed to their heaviest defeat and the team is in a bullish mood to correct the record. "What happened was in the past. It's the future we should be looking forward to and that means blunting the Arrows in our next match. Frankly, I do not care if it's the Daggers or Swords, this is a match we have to win and will win," proclaimed veteran midfielder Leong Wai Meng.

Ironically, Wai Meng played for the Arrows for the best part of the last decade and was part of the team of Archers (the nickname for Arrows) that claimed the Fairfield Past vs Present Trophy in 2004.

This time round, Wai Meng will most likely be lining up for Myjia although there is every likelihood that he could be playing for Arrows having previously signed a lifelong contract.

The Archers

Wai Meng joined Arrows FC with several members of 33rd Coy after breaking through together to the first team and spending successful seasons there. The promising youngsters soon firmly establish themselves with the Arrows and a reputation for fast attacking, suicidal defending football soon followed Arrows' fame.

Barely a season into their arrival, the club signed another group of promising youngsters from I.X, which incidentally included Myjia defender Gordon Ho, and the group grew to be the heart and soul of Arrows for the next decade or so to come.
