Myjia heads for winter break

Yew Tee - Myjia heads into the winter break after the 7-2 thrashing of PUB Veterans. The season will resume on 9 December by which injured star striker Junhao should be back.

In the meantime, Ebenzer Low and Vincent Low will head to Malaysia to attend trials with Genting Amusement Parkers and Casino Royale of Genting respectively.

On the transfer front, Myjia are tipped to sign another player following the capture of Roy from free transfer. Hou Gang's Jerry is the rumoured transfer target and his arrival would add a touch of creativity in the Myjia midfield.

The frenzy of transfer activity in the Myjia camp has not been greeted with cheers from all front. An unnamed source lamented that the influx of foreign signings is threatening the existence of Myjia as a family club.

"The transfers are good from a sporting perspective but it means the family members will get lesser games and thus the idea of family bonding from soccer is diminishing. If more transfers are going to happen, Myjia will end up just like any other teams and everyone will be just another soccer khaki."

"It is great with the present group of signings but I'm really worried the above scenario may just happen for Myjia if more signings come in," quoted the source.
