Boon Lay - Midfielder Leong Wai Meng has expressed his disappointment at his own loss of discipline in Myjia's recent 7-2 win over PUB Veterans. The midfielder clashed with a Veteran's player and almost came to blows before being restrained by team mates.
"I express regret and remorse over my actions during the last Myjia match," a visibly remorseful Wai Meng told the press. "Sometimes, when I play as a holding midfielder, it's just an unfortunate position where u have to tackle and protect your defenders. That's when a lot of trouble starts when the opposition sees this little b****** supposedly going in hard and rough," explained Wai Meng. "Nonetheless, I will just carry out my duties wherever the manager places me. I am just happy to be a part of the team."
The midfielder is currently undergoing fitness programmes with the fitness coach in a bid to capture his lost form.
