    THE EDITION OF MYJIA ONLINE

    WHAT A SEASON!

Hello everyone from Myjia! First of all, allow me to introduce myself - my name's Jimmy Hass and I'm from Bury, England. It's been an absolute pleasure to be following Myjia through this blog and I look forward to the results every fortnight with much relish!

What a season it has been for the Junhao! I was discussing with Wai Meng if he would hit the 20-goal mark last Saturday and we were both proven right! Supposedly the opponents TP Wanderers were a much weaker side but you have to give the man every credit. I used to play for a non-league side here in England and even at that level, it is no mean feat to get 20 goals a season. So, kudos to Junhao for your exploits!

I think I have to suggest to Wai Meng to start placing an age column at the team list! I absolutely cannot remember how old all of you are! One thing I do know is Eugene is Wai Meng's uncle so he has got to be getting on quite a bit...but he has been doing well too hasn't he? Another goal to his name on Saturday and I reckon he's gonna get the team at least ten this season.

Now since I am on the topic of adding stuffs to the webby, why not put your pictures up? And, I would like to the team lineup for each game too. Can you believe it that my mates are interested Myjia too? I'm not kidding!

That's about it for this month all you brilliant people in sunny Singapore, and as I look forward to the results of the next match, I just wanna add a big thank you to Wai Meng for inviting me to write on this blog!

    Cheers!

    BATTLE READY!

Tanjong Pagar - Myjia heads for a second match in the space of seven days at First Toa Payoh on Saturday against strugglers TP Wanderers.

The match could be of significance to in-form striker Junhao who could well hit his twentieth goal of the season. Strangely, the striker has yet to grab a hat-trick for Myjia but the odds are on him to find the net at least twice against a relegation threatened club.

Meanwhile, Myjia manager Vincent Low has expressed his delight with rising star Wilson Tan. "The boy took his chance fantastically didn't he? It's the sort of goal you would dream of and I am glad he has gotten it. The boy deserves the goal for the effort he put into every game."

Myjia young imports Sunny and Delvin have been a hit with the supporters revealed an unnamed source from Myjia Fan Club. The fans have taken to Sunny's humour on and off the pitch and have been impressed by Delvin's workrate and dribbling.

On the injury front, goalkeeper Raymond will miss this Saturday's match with a twisted knee. The keeper's superlative performances in goal has had the press purring with delight. The media has even dubbed Raymond to be the bargain of the season.

    Myjia hit by late Arrows

Myjia concedes late goal to draw 3-3 with Arrows

Toa Payoh - The much-anticipated match between Myjia and Arrows FC ended in a 3-3 draw despite Myjia thrice taking the lead.

It was Arrows who provided the first threat though as loaned player Wai Meng, ironically from Myjia, led an attack before delivering a ball which put his fellow striker Oliver through. Much to Myjia's relief, the former Myjia player scoffed his shot high and way over the crossbar.

Despite the early scare, Myjia were much in control during the early stages of the match and at the half hour mark, an attack down the left wing saw a cross delivered into the area where Sunny wisely dummied his header leaving Wilson with all the space in the world. Adjusting his body posture in a swift movement, Wilson Tan garnered all his strength into his volley and saw his shot hit the roof of the net for an absolute cracker. What a way to open his account for the season! 1-0 to Myjia!

The lead lasted less than ten minutes before Oliver broke the Myjia offside trap and lobbed Raymond from 20 metres out. The Myjia players led by Vincent contested the goal insisting the Arrows striker had strayed offside. The protests fell on deaf ears and both teams walked off the pitch with the score level at one apiece at halftime.

The second half started with a more familiar lineup with Sunny restored back to defence having played forward in the first half. It was Junhao however, who again made the difference to Myjia's attack. A hopeful punt by Delvin in the 55th minute was well controlled by the free scoring striker at the edge of the box. Displaying power and pace in abundance, Junhao slalomed his way past three defenders before dispatching a low shot into the bottom corner to restore Myjia's lead.

A reshuffling of tactics from the Arrows camp saw them switch to three attackers upfront. The move paid dividends almost immediately. A surging right down the left wing by the Arrows attacker produced an inviting cross only for Wai Meng to miscue his shot. Two minutes later, a similar move happened again for Arrows except it came from the other flank as Arrows narrowly missed the goal after Wai Meng evaded Wilkin's tackle to send in a teasing cross. Myjia had been lucky to escape twice with their lead intact. It wasn't to be for long before a similar attacking move by Arrows levelled the score. The left winger again surged forward with purpose but this time his cross was finished with aplomb. 2 goals apiece in this pulsating match.

Myjia took the lead again in the 75th minute through Junhao once more. On loan player Jerry was the provider this time but credits to Junhao who seemingly duplicated his goal to finish with ease. The impressive forward has now scored 18 goals in his last 14 matches, a record unmatched even by Didier Drogba.

There was to be no victory for Myjia when they conceded a freekick at the edge of the box in the 80th minute. Wai Meng stepped up to take and drew Arrows level with a dipping shot. 3-3!

Two minutes later, Myjia were lucky to escape when Wilson cleared a goalbound header after failing to clear an inswinging corner.

The match threatened to boil over soon after with threatrics by Wai Meng infuriating Delvin who had a brilliant chance to shoot. The referee missed the incident but not the Myjia players as they accused Wai Meng of diving.

The incident didn't matter much as the referee duly blew the whistle soon after in what has to be described as one of the most eventful match of the season for Myjia.

"Let's beat the Arrows," rallies Wai Meng

Jurong West - The Myjia camp has received confirmation that they will be meeting the famed Arrows FC on 21st October at First Toa Payoh.

This follows news that the match scheduled at St. Wilfrid Stadium has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

First Toa Payoh was the venue where the sorry Myjia team crashed to their heaviest defeat and the team is in a bullish mood to correct the record. "What happened was in the past. It's the future we should be looking forward to and that means blunting the Arrows in our next match. Frankly, I do not care if it's the Daggers or Swords, this is a match we have to win and will win," proclaimed veteran midfielder Leong Wai Meng.

Ironically, Wai Meng played for the Arrows for the best part of the last decade and was part of the team of Archers (the nickname for Arrows) that claimed the Fairfield Past vs Present Trophy in 2004.

This time round, Wai Meng will most likely be lining up for Myjia although there is every likelihood that he could be playing for Arrows having previously signed a lifelong contract.

    The Archers

Wai Meng joined Arrows FC with several members of 33rd Coy after breaking through together to the first team and spending successful seasons there. The promising youngsters soon firmly establish themselves with the Arrows and a reputation for fast attacking, suicidal defending football soon followed Arrows' fame.

Barely a season into their arrival, the club signed another group of promising youngsters from I.X, which incidentally included Myjia defender Gordon Ho, and the group grew to be the heart and soul of Arrows for the next decade or so to come.

    Fixture at St. Wilfrid

Myjia ffc next match will be scheduled at St. Wilfrid field. The kick off time will be scheduled at 4.30pm and Myjia players are expected to be geared in their white jersey.

However experience midfielder, Waimeng be down for international duty next weekend. Hence he will be missing Myjia ffc next match. Myjia ffc will be trying their best to turn down the request for Waimeng to be called up in to the international scene as Myjia ffc will sorely miss the presence of the experience midfielder should the request fails.

Myjia ffc will also be hoping that both of their experience players, Vincent who picked up an knee injury the last match and Kenneth who had ungone a ear operation, will be fit for the next match. A physio of the club who do not wish to be named spoke to us about the duo conditions and said " The duo condition is not serious and should the duo resume training this weekend and not aggravate the injury they will be fit for the next match."

Myjia will be also be hoping to bounce back from a humiliating defeat which was Myjia ffc greatest defeat ever. Experience defender, Vincent said " After that humiliating defeat, we will be itching to bounce back with a bang."
