Boon Lay - Myjia heads for The New Paper Interview following an ecstatic week despite losing the last match 4-3 to Toa Payoh Yoyos.

Myjia briefly took the lead through another towering header by Sunny before the team lost the plot and conceded four quick goals in succession to troop in downhearted at 4-1 during halftime.

Top scorer Chia Junhao, fiance of Suelyn Lau from the Second Generation, pulled Myjia back into the game with two well-taken goals after coming on as a second half substitute. Despite the lung-bursting effort from Myjia, the Yoyo defence stood firm as they held on to their slim one-goal lead to win the match 4-3.

Undeterred by the loss, Myjia headed for the National Stadium to watch the national team beat Malaysia 5-4 on penalties to advance to the finals of the ASEAN Football Championship. The atmosphere on the Saturday evening was electric, never mind the drizzle. The experience was enough to draw more Myjia members to catch the first leg finals against Thailand on Wednesday. Yet again, the atmosphere and the Lions did not disappoint as the Lions roared to a 2-1 victory, culminating in a great buildup to The New Paper Interview on Saturday at East Spring Secondary.
