Tuas - Myjia FFC will face a fit and skillful side in Westro Rebels on Saturday afternoon, 25 August 2007.
Myjia midfielder Kenneth Koh who knows several members from the Rebels will be sure to provide key details of the opponent to club manager Vincent Low. The situation is reversed with former Myjia loanee, Roy, set to feature for the Rebels.
Myjia has a decent record against sides which current players have played for.
Season 2006/07 saw Myjia draw level with Leong WaiMeng's former club Arrows FC. The match ended 3-3.
More recently, Myjia defeated Ebenzer Low's friends, Impulse East FC, 4-0.
This Saturday's match will hold extra significance to veteran striker Eric Low where he will march on to the pitch where he first made his debut almost 20 years ago. Eric made his name as a goalkeeper at Queensway Secondary and moved around several outfield positions and clubs before eventually settling into his present role as a support striker at Myjia.
Meanwhile, a fanatic Myjia supporter has affectionately labelled her favourite Myjia player Wilkin Tan as Kinky. The nickname is well punned but one wonders what happens when Wilkin's twin brother has a similar nickname. Sony?
