Boon Lay - Chia Junhao scored a brilliant double to lead Myjia to a superb 4-1 victory over a fit 42 SARers side.
The Soldiers took an early lead after defender Sunny Rai suffered a lapse in concentration to allow the striker a clear shot on goal which left Raymond with no chance.
Despite looking the much fitter side and physically much bigger, the Soldiers were not able to make much leeway past Myjia's defence until Sunny's rare error.
The goal woke Myjia up from her slumber and although topscorer Junhao started on the bench together with young hotshot Delvin Ng, Myjia found enough in her reserves to nick an equaliser.
Leong Wai Meng started the attack down the middle and with fellow midfielder Kenneth Koh on the right, the former released Kenneth down the wings. Dribbling past the leftback, Kenneth swung in a left footed cross which evaded everyone. The ball dipped in front of the goalkeeper and somewhat clumsily, the keeper misjudged the bounce for Myjia's equalising goal.
1-1 and Myjia were on the rise. Approaching the 45 minute mark, rightback Wilkin Tan combined well with Wai Meng to release right winger Wilson Tan into the penalty box. The young winger showed a good first touch but delayed his shot just long enough for a defender to make an important recovery.
The second half began in a blaze for Myjia. Within two minutes of the restart, Delvin scored with his first touch after his introduction at halftime.
The goal was a testament to Delvin's demonic speed and his blossoming killer instinct. Outpacing two defenders, Delvin squeezed past the couple and with the keeper approaching at fast pace, the Myjia striker opted for a measured lob into the empty goal. Pure class.
2-1 to Myjia and with the teamwork shown by Myjia, a win was on the cards by the time Junhao made his entry into the game.
Junhao showed his natural predatory instinct once again and off a corner in the 55th minute, Myjia's lead increased to 3-1.
The inswinging corner was headed half clear by the Soldiers defender and with the poise and sharpness of a seasoned striker, Junhao produced a stupendous volley past a sea of defenders for the first of his brilliant double.
Soldiers had no answer to Myjia's superior teamwork and Junhao produced a carbon copy of his goal in the 75th minute to eventually lead Myjia to an outstanding 4-1 victory as well as extend Myjia's unbeaten run to a new season record of seven games.
