Myjia - Myjia Online has released a Myjia Commemorative Video midway thru the second season to celebrate the ongoing success of the team.

Myjia FFC are currently on a club equalling record unbeaten run of six games and successive comebacks in the past two games against tough opponents have boosted morale to seventh heaven.

MYJIA LEVEL MATCH FROM THREE GOALS DOWN AT HALFTIME
Pasir Ris - Sunny Rai, Delvin Ng and Ramond Tan all played major roles in Myjia's thrilling 3-3 draw at East Spring on Saturday afternoon.

A lacklustre opening fifteen minutes saw Myjia concede a sloppy goal and to add insult to injury, the team conceded another pair of soft goals to troop in at halftime three goals down.

Myjia, missing inspirational striker Junhao through work commitments, were lacking the spark to break through the Indian Springers defence throughout the first half but saw chances increase towards the end of the half.

That was to signal a tactical change at halftime with emphasis by team manager Vincent Low to close down the Springers fast-tiring defenders. The peptalk worked to perfection as Myjia totally dominated the proceedings with the foreign imports playing impressive roles.

Midfielder Leong Wai Meng, pushed to attacking midfield in the second half, created an opening for Jackson Seetoh down the left flank in the 48th minute in a sign of things to come. The slightly left winger latched onto the pass and his low cross was charged down and deflected for a corner.

The resultant inswinging corner was met with authority by the head of giant defender Sunny Rai and crashed past a wall of defenders for Sunny's second goal of the season and Myjia's first of the match.

The goal was a well-rehearsed piece of training move involving Wai Meng, Kenneth and Sunny and it sparked Myjia into believing they can get something out of the match rather than succumbing to the opponents.

The instruction to close down fast on the opponent defence almost paid dividend in the 60th minute when the Springers rightback was pressured into hitting the ball across his goal leaving his keeper with an enormous task of clearing the ball outfield.

The clearance was half-hearted and barely crossed the halfway line. Kenneth Koh, who had a quiet game by his standard, chested the ball and hit a first-timer which just whisked past the upright.

The Springers were in sixes and seven by this time. On the rare ocassion that they mounted an attack in the 60th minute, Myjia launched a rapid counter attack via a Sunny diving clearance which reached Delvin.

The speedy striker left a trail of defenders chasing his shadows and with much calmness, placed the ball past the hapless keeper to put Myjia in a great position at 2-3 to complete the comeback.

The Springers were left shell-shocked but were not to be undone. The passes soon began to string with purpose and the attack started to hit with venom.

The pacy Springer strikers had several one-on-one chances but were time after time thwarted by the fine goalkeeping of Myjia keeper Raymond Tan. The crossbar came to Myjia and Raymond's rescue in the 80th minute and that shot probably summed up the Springers in the second half.

At 3-2 with less than ten minutes to go, leftback Ebenzer Low won a freekick on the left after being pushed from behind. Up stepped Wai Meng to whip in a curling freekick to the nearpost which surprised the opposition defence.

The ball struck the bottom of the post but came back across goal and into play. Delvin was the first to react and the striker blasted the ball into the roof of the net to send the Myjia players into ecstasy. 3-3 the scoreline and credits to Delvin for filling into the big boots of Junhao with much aplomb.

Another chance for Myjia from a corner went abegging when the ball swept across the goal once again but no one was on hand to convert when the slightest touch would have handed Myija a superb victory.

The referee blew the final whistle soon after in a contrast of two halves as Myjia celebrated a morale-boosting comeback with another superb team effort.

Team manager Vincent Low has hailed the team spirit at Myjia and praised the younger players for the marked improvement since last season.

"The youngsters like Wilson, Wilkin and Ebenzer have improved by leaps and bounds since last season. We are also fortunate to have our foreign imports integrating nicely with the team and contributing immensely to our success."

Meanwhile, Reserve player Ng Yongchun has been drafted into the first team by team manager Vincent Low after a series of impressive performances.

"This boy has shown a great attitude towards the team and the game and deserves his chance."

Morale at Myjia has been at an all-time high since the team celebrated a late equaliser against arch-rival Orange Fruitees with a KTV session at Clementi Party World.

The match ended 2-2 with chief striker Chia Junhao bagging a brace to rescue a point for Myjia with keeper Raymond Tan in splendid form.

On the few ocassions that Raymond was beaten, the defenders were on hand to prevent a Fruitee thrashing and memorably on one ocassion, Myjia winger Jackson Seetoh kept his cool at the far post to clear away a goalbound shot.

Despite Myjia's best attempt to defend the goal, Fruitees managed to hit two past Raymond after Myjia had taken an early lead.

The game seemed headed for a 2-1 defeat for Myjia until Sunny whacked a 45m freekick into the box which Junhao broke free and headed unerringly into the bottom corner for a rousing finale.

Defender Wilkin Tan has been called up for National Service and could miss the forthcoming match at East Spring.

Wilkin , like his twin brother Wilson Tan and cousin Leong Wai Meng, has been posted to the Singapore Police Force and will be in service for up to two years.

Meanwhile, Ebenzer Low has told his team mates that he felt like he was floating after apparently feeling drunk at the team gathering at Clementi Party World.

The youngster will be advised to down more beer to learn to stabilize the "floating effect".

Saturday Game Threatened by Rain

Tuas - Myjia's Saturday fixture could be threatened by rain following a week of constant heavy shower over the Singapore.

The game to be played at Nan Hua Secondary will be a familiar ground for midfielder Jackson Seetoh. The winger was schooled at Nan Hua where he learnt and honed the fine art of wingplay.

If the game goes according to schedule, it will bound to bring back fond memories for Jackson.
