Pasir Ris - With only 1 victory in the last 6 matches marks one of Myjia worst run in seasons. In the process, Myjia have conceeded 21 goals in the process. Leaky defence and occasion lapse of concentration have been the main problem this season. Myjia have to find a solution to this problem quick before they continue to fall deeper into the pithole.
The most recent defeat to CCK FC further highlighed the vulnerability in Myjia defence as they put 7 goals past Myjia keeper. However, in a humiliating defeat, Myjia latest signing Edwin gave Myjia fans a glimmer of hope of reviving a miserable season by scoring his 2nd goal in his 2nd match.
Following his signing for Myjia, he have so far won over the hearts of Myjia fans with 2 impactful displays.
Apart from Edwin, youngster from Myjia youth academy Ebenzer Low also found the net in the 7-3 defeat to CCK FC. The goal he scored will definitely provide a boost in his morale having scored on his birthday. Besides, that goal brought his tally to 3 goals which equals the goal tally from previous season. He will definitely be fired up against St. James FC having been sent off once.
Ahead of this week clash, Myjia received a boost with the return of midfield duo Leong Waimeng and Kenneth Koh. The duo sat out the previous match due to a short term loan due to Toronto FC and Tioman FC respectively.
Livewire Delvin Ng will also be set to make a return having been given all cleared by the medical staffs.
With critics hot on Myjia heels, a victory is a must in order to relieve some pressure of the shoulder of Myjia players and management.
